New video/ interactive html 5 piece by OK Go

The interactive bit is a sweet idea but i think not necessary. The video works as is. It's loaded with fun tessellation's of body movements that peak at the end of video by spelling out lyrics from the song. In the interactive HTML 5 the message you type in is added to the imagery at the end of the song.

It reminds me of the Wilderness Downtown by Arcade Fire. The difference though is the medium and content made more sense in this piece rather than OK Go's. Ok Go's attempt falls flat. Mainly because I've seen this technique before and their attempt is a poor remake.

Björk's new album is part music, part game, part essays, part everything. It is multimedia and I am in awe. This is a medium where I would like my work to exist. Interactive and ever changing. It's a contemporary way of making fluxus work.

There's a good article on Wired talking about the way in which we brand ourselves, and the persona we choose to reveal. It specifically talks about FB, but really, we do it all the time, everywhere.

Maybe over time enough fragments will compose a complete image of self for others to understand. But then again, which bits to focus on? This or that? These or those? Does this piece go here or there? Or is it that piece that goes with these?
